Below the surface was 25-30m thick mucky soil, which was treated by Low-level High Vacuum Layered Preloading and Compaction Method. After preloading for 4-5 months, the construction settlement reached 1.9-2.2m, and the consolidation degree of soft soil more than 90%, meeting the requirements of bearing capacity and post construction settlement of the project.
